Embedded Software Developer

At ALTEN Finland, we are looking for Embedded Software Developer with FPGA development expertise to strengthen our team in an industrial software development project. This position is ideal for you if you enjoy hands-on embedded development, working close to hardware, and contributing to reliable, high-performance industrial systems in an international environment.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in the complete FPGA development lifecycle
  • Design and develop embedded software using C/C++ and Python
  • Implement unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality software
  • Work with development tools and environments, including Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
  • Collaborate closely with team members in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Continuously improve development practices, quality, and efficiency

We expect you to have

  • Solid experience in embedded software development using C and C++
  • Experience with Python scripting and development
  • Experience in FPGA development using VHDL
  • Experience with modern software development tools and practices, including Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CI/CD, and Agile development methodologies
  • Good communication skills in English
Considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, PLC systems, or fieldbus technologies
  • Understanding of power electronics or functional safety
  • Experience in embedded systems or industrial software development
