Hardware and Layout Designers – Advanced Communication Devices

ALTEN Finland is looking for two skilled professionals: an experienced Hardware Designer and detail-oriented PCB Layout Designer to Tampere or Oulu. The project focuses on the development of communication devices, where performance, durability, and security are at the core of the design. 

Hardware Designer 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Architecture and schematic design of electronic hardware 
• Component selection, signal routing, and power distribution 
• Close collaboration with mechanics, layout, and testing teams 
• Design documentation and support for product validation 

We expect you to have: 

• Strong background in PCB-level hardware design and component selection 
• Experience in embedded systems and both digital and analog electronics 
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills 
• Fluent English, both spoken and written 

PCB Layout Designer 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Complex multi-layer PCB design (HDI, rigid-flex, etc.) 
• Signal and power routing with EMC and SI/PI in mind 
• Coordination with HW and mechanical designers 
• Preparing manufacturing documentation 

We expect you to have: 

• Several years of experience in PCB layout (Altium, Mentor, Zuken, or equivalent) 
• Understanding of DFM/DFT practices 
• Accuracy, responsibility, and ability to work independently and in a team 
• Fluent English language skills
