Electrical or Automation Engineer (EPLAN) VIE Program

We are  looking for Electrical or Automation Engineers to join our team in Tampere through the VIE program.

The VIE program is a French government–supported international assignment scheme that enables young professionals from France or the EEA to work abroad for 6–24 months while gaining valuable industry experience.

As an Electrical or Automation Engineer, you will work on electrification and automation design across a range of industrial projects, and you may also support installation supervision and commissioning activities.

Depending on your interests, your role could include, for example:

  • Electrical system design with ePLAN P8
  • Automation solutions for industrial processes
  • Support for commissioning and installation phases

The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role:

  • Relevant degree (Engineer or M.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering or Automation Engineering)
  • Familiarity with modern design and calculation tools, such as ePLAN P8
  • Strong teamwork skills, initiative, and problem-solving mindset
  • A customer-focused approach and willingness to take responsibility
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written

Experience in process or machine electrification/automation, whether in design, installation supervision, or commissioning is an advantage. We are also happy to consider motivated early-career professionals eager to grow.

VIE Program Requirements:

  • Age 18–28 (assignment must begin before your 29th birthday)
  • French or EEA nationality (excluding Finnish nationals for this role)
  • Registered on the VIE portal before age 28
  • No previous VIE assignment
  • Compliant with national service obligations (for French citizens)
  • A clean criminal record, as required for all VIE assignments
