ALTEN Finland’s IT services offering continues to grow. Comiq, a leading specialist in software quality assurance and DevOps services, among others, will merge into ALTEN Finland on 4 January 2022.The integration will create a stronger organisation with two solid engineering players, powered by a continuously developing, comprehensive expertise.

ALTEN Finland Oy acquired the Comiq Group in 2018 and the business integration has been in preparation since then. Comiq Group Oy and Comiq Oy, which until now operated as a subsidiary, will be integrated into ALTEN Finland Oy’s business on 4 January 2022.

The cooperation between ALTEN Finland and Comiq that has developed over the years will continue to guarantee customers first-class service in the field of IT expertise. Ongoing customer work and projects will remain unchanged during the change. In addition, we will be able to respond to our customers’ needs and wishes even more extensively.

The integration will also broaden the range of projects we can offer IT specialists. Teemu Virtanen, Managing Director of ALTEN Finland and Comiq, explains the wide range of the company’s customer base.

“With the merger, we will seamlessly deliver IT services as one company to our customers from industry to other private sectors, such as the financial sector and, crucially, public administration. We are currently in the process of expanding our IT services offering in Finland and diversifying our delivery models from consulting to project delivery and certain ongoing services,” Virtanen explains. “We will continue to lean heavily on our local community of top experts covering most of Finland, and we will also leverage the potential of ALTEN Group’s more than 10,000 international IT experts. We will therefore be able to continue to partner with our customers on an even wider range of needs. “Cooperation between Comiq and ALTEN Finland has been going on since the acquisition, but this year in particular has seen a huge increase in cooperation, especially in terms of sales. With the integration we have many times more shoulders to offer our services to our customers. We have already noticed an increased level of interest from new, large customers, which allows us to offer a wider range of IT jobs to our growing work community,” says Tuomas Multala, who was previously responsible for HR development in the IT service area at Comiq and will now be responsible for HR development at ALTEN Finland.
