Experienced Project Engineer


Our growing and international organization is looking for an


for permanent employment to our Hyvinkää office. The job consists of planning, directing and coordinating the activities of supply projects and solutions ensuring that our customer’s overall objectives are accomplished. In this role you will ensure that deliverables are on time, profitable, high quality and meets customer expectations. Collaborative and customer focused way of working together with their sales companies is your way to successful project execution. Project Engineer is a key member in our customer’s major project delivery chain managing the interaction and co-operation between key stakeholders of supply project.

Main responsibilities:

  • Establishing the ways of working in the supply organisation

  • To supply project material using a feasible solution to complete the supply project safely, on time and within budget

  • Being in charge of verifying, taking in and booking orders

  • Confirming material delivery times and transfer prices to FL system and manage quality, sourcing and logistic planning

  • Supply project variation and scope management

  • Collaborate and communicate with and between all stakeholders

  • Making sourcing decisions for main components

  • Identifying and facilitating project related change management activities

  • Composing, collecting and distributing necessary technical information

  • Coordinate resource planning and project schedule

  • Participate in project steering group meetings providing supply management input

  • Effective collaboration and communication within project in full chain


Essential prerequisites for selection:

  • Higher vocational diploma or university degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in technical or commercial sciences

  • Excellent English skills both spoken and written

  • Ability to start within one (1) month at the latest

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Ability to manage project design quality planning, sourcing planning and logistics planning

  • Supply project handling skills, e.g.:

    • Deliveries opening, scheduling, pricing and maintaining

    • Milestone and Engineering activities follow-up and maintaining

    • Variation and change handling

    • Route, Incoterm and delivery schedules understanding

  • Experience in project handling 

  • Experience in supply chain scheduling

  • Customer focused way of working

  • Willingness and ability to take responsibility, solve problems and make decisions

  • Drive and persistence to reach set goals

  • Pro-active way of working

  • Interest and ability to learn new things
